Lipotransferencia complicada con micobacteriosis atípicas. Reporte de dos casos y revisión de la literatura

RESUMEN
La lipotransferencia es un método que ha evolucionado dentro del área de la cirugía estética y reconstructiva para
modificar el contorno corporal del individuo; sin embargo, se ha asociado ocasionalmente con infecciones con diverso
grado de morbimortalidad. Reportamos dos casos de pacientes a quienes se les realizó una lipotransferencia de la
zona abdominal y la cintura hacia las nalgas, y que cursaron con infección posquirúrgica. Mediante reacción en cadena
de la polimerasa (PCR) del ADN extraído de una muestra de tejido y de un cultivo, con posterior secuenciación, se
identificaron como agentes causales Mycobacterium chelonae y M. massiliense.
