Utilización de autoinjerto de cabeza femoral en las deficiencias acetabulares

RESUMEN
Reseñar teóricamente la artroplastia de la cadera en su vertiente acetabular, es un
tema controvertido entre los cirujanos ortopédicos. Las indicaciones para la
recuperación de la reserva ósea, particularmente con el uso de aloinjertos
estructurales, continúan discutiéndose. Se acepta bien el uso de aloinjerto óseo
triturado para el tratamiento de defectos cavitarios, y los resultados han sido
universalmente buenos. La utilización de injerto estructural es más aleatoria, y en la
literatura se han comunicado resultados variables. El trabajo se ocupará de la
utilización de autoinjerto cefálico, tomado de la propia cabeza femoral del paciente.
Nuestra experiencia en el uso de aloinjerto óseo es amplia, atendiendo a que el centro
cuenta con un banco de huesos que satisface las crecientes necesidades quirúrgicas
de muchos pacientes.
