Factores que influyen en la utilización de los servicios odontológicos. Revisión de la literatura

RESUMEN

En el presente trabajo se examina el problema referente a la utilización de los servicios odontológicos en diferentes grupos de población a través de la revisión de estudios realizados en las últimas tres décadas en distintos países. Se analizan los factores que, según la mayoría de los autores, tienen mayor influencia para que la gente decida o no acudir a un servicio dental, presentando resultados de diversos trabajos, así como dos modelos teóricos que explican este proceso y algunas consideraciones metodológicas. Se reflexiona por último sobre su posible aplicación en estudios para la realidad de nuestro país.
