La alta prevalencia de hipertensión y diabetes mellitus en nuestro país, 30.05 y 10.9% respectivamente,1 la frecuente asociación de diabetes en el hipertenso, 16.4% en población abierta y 18.8% en la consulta privada,1,2 así como la alta morbilidad y mortalidad que ocasionan, nos obligan a estar siempre actualizando nuestra información.
