Reflexiones sobre la enseñanza de la empatía y la educación médica

RESUMEN
En este ensayo se abordan tres tópicos esenciales: la desproporción
creciente entre tecnología y humanismo; la evaluación de la empatía
y la educación médica; y por último, la promoción de la empatía en la
educación de las emociones. Se concluye que la empatía se constituye
como un puente entre la medicina basada en evidencias y la medicina
centrada en el enfermo; esto es un camino práctico para incorporar los
progresos técnicos y traducirlos en un cuidado eficaz de los pacientes.
