Señor editor: En México, lo relacionado
con el parto prematuro y la
enfermedad periodontal debe ser
considerado como un problema de
salud grave. Tomando en cuenta
que las mujeres embarazadas tienen
una mayor probabilidad de desarrollo
de enfermedad periodontal,
sobre todo la gingivitis, que afecta al
50% y que aparece entre el segundo
y el octavo mes del embarazo.
