Determinación de células natural killer (NK CD56+CD16+) mediante anticuerpos monoclonales en el endometrio de pacientes con aborto recurrente de origen desconocido

RESUMEN
Objetivo: determinar la concentración de células
natural killer
(NK) CD56+CD16+ por medio de anticuerpos monoclonales
en el endometrio de pacientes con aborto recurrente de origen
desconocido.
Pacientes y método: estudio prospectivo, longitudinal y descriptivo
que incluyó 20 pacientes con pérdida gestacional recurrente
de origen desconocido, a quienes se realizó biopsia endometrial
los días 21 a 26 del ciclo menstrual para evaluar la concentración
de células NK CD56+CD16+ por medio de anticuerpos monoclonales.
Los resultados se compararon con estándares normales
reportados en biopsias de mujeres fértiles. El análisis estadístico
incluyó medidas de tendencia central, media y proporciones.
Resultados: de 20 pacientes estudiadas, en ocho (40%) se
encontró elevación de células NK; en tres (15%) las concentraciones
eran altamente positivas y en 12 (60%) eran normales.
Conclusiones: este estudio proporciona información esencial
de la importancia y frecuencia de las células NK CD56+CD16+
en pacientes con pérdida recurrente de la gestación de origen
desconocido, ya que a la luz de los conocimientos actuales se
sabe que juegan un papel clave en el proceso del aborto. En
este trabajo, se encontró que 40% de las mujeres con pérdida
recurrente de la gestación tenían, en mayor o menor grado, estas
células en el endometrio.
