Tratamiento conservador en la rehabilitación del paciente con conducto lumbar estrecho: revisión sistemática

RESUMEN
Introducción: La evidencia científica sobre eficacia de las intervenciones de tratamiento conservador como parte de la rehabilitación del conducto lumbar estrecho es controversial.
Objetivo: Analizar la literatura disponible sobre la eficacia de las intervenciones de tratamiento conservador; utilizados en la rehabilitación del conducto lumbar estrecho y establecer su nivel de evidencia.
Método: Búsqueda electrónica de literatura en MEDLINE, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, Cochrane Controlled Trials and Sistematic Review, EBSCO. Evaluación en el resumen el cumplimiento de criterios y búsqueda en original de estudios seleccionados. Cada artículo fue evaluado de manera independiente y cegada por tres revisores para la extracción de datos, clasificación y calificación de calidad metodológica.
Resultados: De 244 estudios, siete cumplieron los criterios de inclusión. La puntuación en calidad fue de 0.62 a 0.81 con enmascaramiento predominante B. Los trabajos con mejor calidad metodológica involucraron múltiples intervenciones. La elevada heterogeneidad de criterios de inclusión, intervenciones y medición de desenlaces, impidieron realizar un meta-análisis.
Conclusión: No se encontró evidencia suficiente para determinar el grado de eficacia de las intervenciones del tratamiento conservador en la rehabilitación del conducto lumbar estrecho. Se debe mejorar la calidad metodológica de los estudios para que exista un sustento basado en la evidencia del proceso de rehabilitación.
