Moniletrix, comunicación de dos casos

RESUMEN
El moniletrix es un trastorno raro constituido por una variación regular del espesor del tallo piloso, dándole al pelo un aspecto arrosariado con la tendencia a romperse prematuramente en los puntos donde es más delgado. Presenta un patrón hereditario autosómico dominante, con expresividad variable y penetrancia incompleta. Se describe el caso de una niña de 2 años de edad quien presenta una dermatosis caracterizada por hipotricosis difusa, con cabellos cortos y frágiles, además de pápulas foliculares de predominio en región occipital. El diagnóstico se comprobó mediante microscopia óptica. No existen antecedentes familiares, lo que nos hace sospechar que se trata de una mutación de novo.
