Vitíligo. Actualidades en el tratamiento

RESUMEN
El vitíligo es una enfermedad frecuente e idiopática, caracterizada por despigmentación, que ocurre con mayor frecuencia en gente joven. A pesar de que su etiología es desconocida, se han propuesto varias teorías como la autoinmune, autocitotóxica y neural. En la actualidad no existe un tratamiento universal efectivo, ni médico, ni quirúrgico para el vitíligo. Las terapias de repigmentación no quirúrgica conforman la primera línea de tratamiento
del vitíligo. Existen varias formas de tratamiento y en cada paciente se debe de intentar más de una para considerar resistencia terapéutica.
