El papel de los complejos ribonucleoproteicos en el almacenamiento y expresión de mRNAS maternos

RESUMEN
La traducción selectiva de mRNAs en organismos eucariontes es un importante mecanismo de control en respuesta a cambios específicos en el desarrollo. La embriogénesis y el desarrollo del embrión son procesos en los que el control de la expresión genética a nivel de la regulación traduccional tiene un papel fundamental. Prueba de ello es la presencia de mRNAs maternos, los cuales requieren de un control muy fino para su adecuada expresión tanto temporal como espacial. El mecanismo por el cual la traducción de dichos mRNAs es regulada depende en gran medida de las proteínas regulatorias asociadas a ellos. El presente trabajo incluye una revisión acerca de los complejos ribonucleoproteicos que intervienen en la regulación de la expresión de los mRNAs maternos en organismos eucariontes.
