Evaluación de la oximetría de pulso durante colecistectomía laparoscópica en un caso de anemia de células falciformes

RESUMEN
La anemia de células falciformes (ACF) representa una hemoglobinopatía hereditaria, que resulta de una mutación genética del gene de la Β-globina en el cromosoma 11. El Β-alelo mutante codifica para la producción de la variante, la hemoglobina S (HbS). La anemia de células falciformes es una patología severa que se caracteriza por anemia hemolítica crónica, episodios repetidos de crisis vasooclusivas y alteraciones funcionales de los distintos órganos. La colelitiasis es frecuente debido a la hemólisis crónica e hiperbilirrubinemia. La colecistectomía laparoscópica se recomienda como técnica quirúrgica en el tratamiento de la colelitiasis. Se reporta el caso de un paciente con anemia de células falciformes, litiasis vesicular y la utilidad de la oximetría de pulso en el monitoreo no invasivo de la oxigenación durante la colecistectomía laparoscópica.
