Introducción
La presencia de coledocolitiasis en pacientes con colecistolitiasis sintomática se reporta en 5 a 18% de este grupo de pacientes.
Después de la primera colecistectomía laparoscópica en 1985, por Mühe, la transición de colecistectomía abierta (CA) a colecistectomía laparoscópica (CL) ocurrió en los años de 1990 y, desde entonces, la CL constituye el tratamiento de elección de la colecistolitiasis.
