Eritema multiforme bucal, un padecimiento a considerar en el diagnóstico diferencial de enfermedades vesiculoampollares crónicas y recurrentes. A propósito de un caso

RESUMEN
Se presenta el caso de una mujer de 23 años de edad que fue referida con un cuadro de úlceras orales de
aproximadamente 18 meses de evolución, diagnosticado finalmente como eritema multiforme (EM). Durante este
lapso recibió múltiples diagnósticos y tratamientos, sin obtener la resolución del cuadro clínico. La paciente presentaba
el antecedente de infecciones frecuentes por virus de herpes simple (VHS) en boca, y aparentemente los medicamentos
recibidos contribuyeron a perpetuar los signos y síntomas de EM. La paciente presentó una rápida mejoría al suspender
los medicamentos, y se prescribió un tratamiento antiviral para los episodios de infección por VHS.
