Factor estimulante de colonias de granulocitos y su efecto en el ámbito reproductivo

RESUMEN
Introducción: el factor estimulante de colonias de granulocitos (G-CSF) es una citocina que estimula la diferenciación celular de las células germinales; se ha observado su producción en líquido folicular y parece desempeñar una función importante en el desarrollo folicular humano, el desarrollo y división celular embrionaria y la implantación.
Objetivo: hacer una revisión de la bibliografía médica para poder esclarecer el panorama y la probable función del G-CSF en los aspectos reproductivos de la embriología humana.
Material y métodos: en PubMed y MedlinePlus
® se realizó una revisión de artículos pertinentes a ciencias básicas, relacionados con la embriología humana y que tuvieran en el título la frase
factor estimulante de colonias de granulocitos.
Conclusiones: el G-CSF es una citocina que desempeña una función fundamental en los diferentes procesos de la reproducción humana. Aún se requiere realizar diversos estudios para esclarecer su función e importancia en dichos procesos.
