La anestesia regional (AR) se ha transformado en los últimos 20 años a nivel internacional, actualmente el campo de la práctica va más allá de un bloqueo peridural o subaracnoideo, la inmensidad del conocimiento desarrollado en esta área incluye desde bloqueos selectivos terminales de rescate o mejor llamados complementarios, hasta bloqueos paravetebrales avanzados ya sea en dosis únicas o en catéteres continuos. La Enseñanza de la Medicina Basada en Evidencia Científíca en AR cambia rápidamente por lo que amerita el conocimiento de la metodología basado en un Sistema Organizacional de Enseñanza-Aprendizaje, este cambio involucra tanto alumnos como profesores.
