Tatuaje por amalgama posterior a retroobturación Reporte de cuatro casos

RESUMEN

El tatuaje por amalgama es una argirosis local con alteración del color de la mucosa causada por la implantación iatrogénica de amalgama en los tejidos blandos bucales. La literatura refiere que la mayor frecuencia del depósito de estas partículas en mucosa mandibular cercanas a restauraciones con amalgama o con historia de extracción dentaria cercana a ellas son elementos claves para sus diagnósticos. Se presentan cuatro casos de tatuajes por amalgama posteriores a retroobturación dentaria donde la ubicación maxilar, la no cercanía a restauraciones con ese material, el aumento paulatino de tamaño de la pigmentación y la irregularidad en la radioopacidad exponen consideraciones clínicas, radiográficas e histológicas de necesaria implementación diagnóstica.
