Herpes Genital

RESUMEN
El virus del herpes HSV-1 y VHS-2 generalmente infecta a la esfera genital y oral, respectivamente. Estos dos virus se derivan de un ancestro común, pero evolucionaron por separado de varios millones de años, adaptándose a estos sitios. Así, mientras que cada virus puede infectar a cualquiera de los sitios, el VHS-1 se reactiva de posición con frecuencia en la posición oral y genital HSV-2. Se tomó nota de los siguientes hechos, conocidos y nuevos o significativos en la epidemiología (culminación de la epidemia de HSV-2 a E.-U., el aumento de la proporción de HSV-1 en las infecciones genitales), clínica (extra-orales o lesiones extra-genital, la gravedad de la estomatitis herpética), diagnóstico (confusión herpes zoster en los territorios del trigémino o sagrado) y las infecciones de herpes genital (méritos relativos de los patrones de tratamiento supresor y episódica y la manteca el tratamiento de este último) y oral (efecto del tratamiento con el tratamiento de la gingivoestomatitis y herpes labial).
