Mononucleosis infecciosa

RESUMEN
La mononucleosis infecciosa es un síndrome clínico causado por el virus Epstein-Barr. Aunque la mayoría de las infecciones por EBV en niños son asintomáticas o tienen síntomas inespecíficos, las infecciones en adolescentes y adultos frecuentemente resultan en mononucleosis infecciosa, con sus síntomas clásicos ya descritos. El tratamiento se basa en medidas de soporte.
