FRAGMENTO
Los anestésicos locales previenen o alivian el dolor por medio de la interrupción de la conducción nerviosa. Éstos se ligan a un receptor específico dentro de los canales de sodio (Na) en los nervios y bloquean el movimiento de iones a través de éste. Las propiedades químicas y farmacológicas de cada droga determinan su uso clínico. Los anestésicos locales se pueden administrar en una variedad de vías, las que incluyen; la tópica, infiltración, bloqueo nervioso o de campo, regional intravenosa, espinal o epidural, o como lo dicten las circunstancias clínicas.
