Inhibidores directos de trombina

RESUMEN

Los inhibidores directos de trombina son una nueva clase de fármacos inhibidores de la trombina que tienen como mecanismo de acción la inactivación de la trombina sin el requerimento de cofactores plasmáticos, la inhibición de la trombina libre y la unida a fibrina con un bajo potencial de unión a proteínas plasmáticas. El objetivo de esta revisión es describir los mecanismos de acción y farmacología clínica de los inhibidores directos de trombina y los resultados de los principales ensayos clínicos realizados con esta nueva clase de medicamentos.
