La biopsia pulmonar; una decisión ponderada.
La biopsia pulmonar es un decisión tardía en el proceso diagnóstico ya que es un procedimiento invasivo, implica a menudo una toracotomía, que por más pequeña que sea, es un procedimiento de cirugía mayor, doloroso para el paciente, que requiere hospitalización, un nivel alto de pericia para realizarlo y para su interpretación. Se efectúa al final de una secuencia de decisiones y recursos diagnósticos y no como primer recurso.
