Modelo experimental de aneurismas mediante injerto venoso autólogo en la aorta abdominal en ratas wistar

RESUMEN
Un modelo experimental ideal de aneurisma es esencial en el estudio de la patogénesis y en la evaluación de nuevas técnicas de diagnóstico y tratamiento de aneurismas cerebrales.
Objetivos: determinar factibilidad y utilidad del modelo experimental de aneurismas laterales y saculares, a través de un injerto venoso
in situ en la aorta abdominal de la rata
Wistar.
Material y métodos: se realizó un estudio experimental en ratas (n=36), mediante técnica microquirúrgica se anastomoso un segmento de vena cava inferior a la aorta abdominal infrarrenal de la rata. Posterior a un seguimiento de dos meses se sacrificaron a las ratas y se realizó el análisis histopatológico.
Resultados: se completó el seguimiento de 30 ratas, hubo una buena tolerancia a la oclusión de la vena cava inferior y no existieron casos de oclusión espontánea. El 70% de los aneurismas implantados incrementaron su diámetro, y se corroboró trombosis intra-aneurismática en especial en aquellos aneurismas que crecieron. Algunos aneurismas desarrollaron un aumento del número de lobulaciones y se constató la formación de placas ateroma en el domo y cuello del aneurisma.
Conclusiones: este modelo de aneurismas laterales, tiene una incidencia baja de oclusión espontánea, se desarrolla con una técnica microquirúrgica sencilla y reproducible, además no requiere de la toma de un injerto venoso adicional. La mayoría de estos aneurismas crecen y tiene similitudes histológicas con los aneurismas gigantes en humanos.
