Carcinoma de células de Merkel. Estudio de cuatro casos y revisión de aspectos relevantes

RESUMEN
Se presentan 4 casos de carcinoma de células de Merkel, neoplasia muy rara cuyo diagnóstico se fundamentó en la clínica, histología e inmunohistoquímica. Se destacan sus características epidemiológicas, clínicas e histológicas y la importancia fundamental del estudio inmunohistoquímico en el diagnóstico de esta entidad. Se reseña su diagnóstico diferencial, estadificación y terapéutica. Concluimos que de efectuarse los estudios requeridos, este proceso aumentará en los próximos años por lo que es necesario el conocimiento del mismo por dermatólogos, oncólogos, internistas y principalmente patólogos.
