RESUMEN
Las bacterias del género
Chlamydia se caracterizan por ser patógenos intracelulares que causan una amplia variedad de padecimientos, tanto en el hombre como en los animales. La respuesta inmunológica humoral ha sido considerada como no útil contra patógenos intracelulares. Sin embargo, hay evidencias convincentes de que los anticuerpos pueden proteger contra muchos de los microorganismos intracelulares o de sus productos. El reto actual es identificar qué antígenos pueden ser útiles para el desarrollo de anticuerpos y vacunas. El objetivo de esta revisión bibliográfica es conocer cómo los anticuerpos anti
Chlamydia participan en la protección y en el diagnóstico de la enfermedad.
