RESUMEN
La hemorragia subaracnoidea secundaria a ruptura de aneurisma es una causa frecuente de ingreso a la Unidad de Terapia Intensiva y se asocia a elevada morbimortalidad. El vasoespasmo es una de las complicaciones tempranas más frecuentes y se relaciona con hipoperfusión, isquemia cerebral y el desarrollo de infartos cerebrales. Por este motivo su diagnóstico y tratamiento temprano y oportuno son fundamentales para mejorar las posibilidades de sobrevida y disminuir las secuelas. El objetivo de este trabajo es revisar la fisiopatología de esta entidad y las actualidades relacionadas a su manejo.
