Liquen plano

RESUMEN

El liquen plano es una dermatosis inflamatoria de etiología desconocida que se puede presentar con diferentes patrones morfológicos como el liquen plano oral, liquen plano anular, liquen plano lineal o liquen plano penfigoide. Su presentación clínica clásica se caracteriza por pápulas o placas violáceas y afecta sobretodo las superficies flexoras de muñecas, muslos, tercio inferior de las extremidades inferiores, abdomen, genitales, uñas y boca. Su curso generalmente es autolimitado, resolviéndose en un periodo de meses a años, pero puede persistir indefinidamente. Existen múltiples opciones terapéuticas incluyendo corticosteroides, retinoides, PUVA y ciclosporina.
