Presencia de la medicina en las novelas del mago Harry Potter

RESUMEN

La medicina tiene influencia importante en la literatura de ficción. Este artículo señala la relación entre el ejercicio contemporáneo de la medicina y la obra narrativa de la inglesa Joanne K. Rowling. Se exponen fragmentos de sus novelas en los que se hace referencia a las diferentes especialidades médicas, así como a sus ejecutantes. La medicina es un elemento indispensable en la construcción de mundos ficticios; la personalidad del médico que se muestra en las novelas de Harry Potter es apenas distinta de la de los profesionales en la vida real.
