Neurinoma del acústico. Aspectos clínicos

RESUMEN
El neurinoma del acústico es el tumor más frecuente del ángulo pontocerebeloso (90%), afecta más a mujeres, siendo más frecuente entre los 50 y 60 años de edad. Cuando no se realiza un diagnóstico oportuno, crece en el interior del conducto auditivo interno y se extiende al ángulo pontocerebeloso, y en casos extremos comprime el tronco cerebral. Generalmente deben ser extraídos quirúrgicamente o evaluado su crecimiento de forma periódica.
