Impacto de la rehabilitación cardíaca en el perfil de riesgo coronario

RESUMEN
Los programas de rehabilitación cardíaca y prevención secundaria han mostrado tener un impacto favorable en varios desenlaces de la enfermedad cardiovascular como es la mortalidad, la morbilidad, la calidad de vida y el costo económico. Además han mostrado ser un complemento terapéutico seguro en manos expertas y con baja mortalidad, incluso en pacientes con alto riesgo cardiovascular. Es recomendable que todo cardiólogo practique en sus pacientes la prevención secundaria, incluyendo el consejo sobre la actividad física, sexual y la reincorporación laboral, sobre todo en aquéllos de bajo riesgo. En el grupo de pacientes de alto riesgo es recomendable un PRHCyPS altamente supervisado por expertos.
