FRAGMENTO

La hipertensión arterial sistémica es un problema de salud pública de alta prevalencia e importante repercusión, que ocasiona complicaciones cardiovasculares y la muerte. Ante esta situación es indispensable establecer lineamientos adecuados y uniformes de atención, que sólo se lograrán con el trabajo conjunto y ordenado de gran número de profesionales de la salud que, cuidadosamente, revisaron la información nacional e internacional disponible para adecuarla en forma práctica a nuestra realidad nacional para que en verdad les sea útil a los médicos mexicanos en el ejercicio de su práctica profesional.
