Trastornos del espectro autista

RESUMEN
Se revisan los trastornos asociados al espectro autista y los criterios para poder hacer el diagnóstico oportuno; se mencionan las áreas de afección y los rasgos generales de estos niños. Se dan a conocer algunos programas de intervención: desde el simple trato y acercamiento con el niño autista, hasta la manera en que éstos logran adquirir habilidades para comunicarse con el mundo que les rodea e involucrarse socialmente, ya sea mediante la intervención de un profesionista o de sus padres, previamente capacitados.
