Utilidad de la relación F/Vt (Índice de ventilación superficial) protocolo de Yang y Tobin como criterio de retiro de la asistencia ventilatoria

RESUMEN
De un total de 143 pacientes que ingresaron a la Unidad de Terapia Intensiva, se incluyeron al estudio 50 pacientes, de los cuales reunieron los criterios de inclusión 27 pacientes con una edad global de 52.5 ± 21.3 años. Nueve fueron del sexo masculino: 33.33%, con una edad de 64.88 ± 20.94 años y 18 del sexo femenino: 66.66% con una edad de 46.27 ± 19.05 años. Diagnóstico principal: Diabetes mellitus 10 (37.1%); infarto agudo al miocardio 4 (14.8%) sepsis abdominal 3 (11.1%), choque hipovolémico 3 (11.1%), neumonía grave 2 (7.40%), politraumatismo: 2 (7.40%) otros: 3 (11.1%).
El grupo de excluidos del estudio fue de 23 pacientes: con una edad global de 56 ± 16 años. Dieciséis del sexo femenino 69.56%, edad: 57.066 ± 13.66 años, 7 del sexo masculino: 30.43%, edad: 77.85 ± 11.49 años.
Análisis estadístico: Se realizó la determinación de la media, desviación estándar, sensibilidad, especificidad, un análisis a través de la prueba no paramétrica, Chi cuadrada.
Resultados: Sensibilidad 90%, especificidad: 84%.
Conclusión: El índice de ventilación superficial es un método protocolizado para retiro de la asistencia ventilatoria, que es de vigilancia estrecha por el personal médico y paramédico que nos proporciona resultados satisfactorios.
