Cálculo gigante de la glándula submandibular de 20 años de evolución: reporte de caso

RESUMEN
La sialolitiasis es una enfermedad común de las glándulas salivales, pero el desarrollo de cálculos gigantes (mayores de 15 mm) se considera raro. Se reporta el caso de un cálculo gigante de la glándula submandibular izquierda en un paciente de 53 años de edad, que inició con una infección glandular. Se encontró un lito en el conducto de Wharton. Se trató la infección (sialoadenitis obstructiva) y se hizo una litotomía transoral, que arrojó buenos resultados.
