RESUMEN

El Quiste Odontogénico Calcificante (QOC) fue descrito por primera vez por Gorlin en 1962. Es una lesión poco común, afecta por igual a ambos sexos, sin predilección por maxilar superior o mandíbula, frecuentemente asociado con dientes incluidos, como otras lesiones con las que comparte características radiológicas. Clínicamente, se caracteriza por un crecimiento lento y asintomático, puede asociarse a otras lesiones, siendo la más frecuente el odontoma. Se presenta paciente femenino de 13 años de edad con aumento de volumen asintomático en el maxilar superior derecho, involucrando un canino impactado y un segundo premolar parcial-mente erupcionado, con 2 años de evolución. Radiográficamente, se observó una zona radiolúcida multilocular con bordes bien definidos, de 6 cm de diámetro. Se realizó curetaje de la lesión e histopatológicamente se observó una cápsula fibrosa revestida por epitelio ameloblastomatoso con acumulaciones focales de células fantasma. La paciente no presenta recidiva a los ocho meses de seguimiento.
