Monitoreo hemodinámico no invasivo en sepsis. Vigilancia de la perfusión tisular a la cabecera del paciente

RESUMEN
El choque séptico es una enfermedad compleja que consume muchos recursos, causa
mortalidad muy alta y debe ser manejada en una unidad de cuidados críticos. Sin
embargo, en muchas ocasiones no se cuenta con espacio físico en dichas unidades y
tampoco se dispone de la tecnología invasiva necesaria para el monitoreo de este tipo
de pacientes en las salas generales de hospitalización. Por ello, se plantea un abordaje
de monitoreo de mínima invasión a la cabecera del enfermo. Este monitoreo se basa
en aspectos clínicos, aspectos hemodinámicos no invasivos y en la interpretación
adecuada de gases arteriales y venosos. Asimismo, se refuerza el concepto de deuda
de oxígeno y la forma práctica de su tratamiento.
