Hemangioma cavernoso de mama en adolescente

RESUMEN

Introducción: Los tumores vasculares benignos de seno son poco frecuentes e incluyen: los parenquimatosos, que en su mayoría son los angiosarcomas y los extra parenquimatosos, que usualmente corresponden a los hemangiomas.
Objetivo: Presentar un caso de hemangioma cavernoso de mama en una adolescente.
Presentación del caso: Presentamos el caso de una paciente adolescente, con una masa a nivel de seno izquierdo, la cual fue remitida al Hospital Ginecobstétrico “Isidro Ayora” en Quito, Ecuador, el 28 de diciembre de 2019, por un diagnóstico de hemangioma cavernoso de seno. Se realizó exéresis de la masa 9 meses después, previa biopsia por punción con aguja gruesa.
Conclusiones: Los hemangiomas cavernosos son los hemangiomas de seno más comunes. Constituyen una patología benigna de seno rara, que pertenece a los tumores benignos de origen vascular. La mayoría de los casos no presenta manifestaciones clínicas. Se diagnostican de forma incidental y es histológicamente que se presenta el diagnóstico definitivo. Los hallazgos de imagen y la citología por aspiración con aguja fina no son concluyentes; sin embargo, el seguimiento y manejo se deben hacer por imagen. Se recomienda además la exéresis de la masa para excluir la posibilidad de una lesión maligna subyacente.
