Eficiencia de cinco marcadores X-STR para identificación forense en población mestiza del Occidente de México

RESUMEN
Introducción: Las repeticiones cortas en tándem del cromosoma X (X-STR) son utilizadas en la identificación forense y pruebas de parentesco biológico. Actualmente existen varios estudios en los X-STR, sin embargo, el panel incluye varios marcadores del mismo grupo de ligamiento. Al incluir marcadores de diferente grupo de ligamiento la prueba es más eficiente.
Objetivo: Establecer un panel de cinco loci X-STR para su aplicación en estudios genéticos forenses en población mestiza del Occidente de México.
Metodología: Se tipificaron cinco loci X-STR en 379 muestras de individuos del Occidente de México mediante PCR, geles de poliacrilamida al 7% y tinción con plata. Se estimaron las frecuencias alélicas y haplotípicas, así como los parámetros forenses.
Resultados: Los datos combinados mostraron un poder de discriminación de 0.999389 y 0.999995 en hombres y mujeres respectivamente. La combinación de la probabilidad media de exclusión fue 0.9998797 para casos de tríos y 0.990701 para dúos.
Discusión: Diversos reportes, que utilizan el sistema Decaplex, obtienen valores de discriminación en mujeres de 99.9999% y en hombres de 99.9998%, resultados muy cercanos al nuestro y con sólo utilizar cinco marcadores.
Conclusión: los cinco loci X-STR analizados son altamente informativos para uso en pruebas forenses.
