ABSTRACT
Virtual Reality (VR) is a type of technology that allows
creating photo-realistic environments through computer
programs, this is a tool that allows the evaluation and
intervention of attention deficit disorder (ADHD) in a more
ecological way. A review of the literature published on
the Pudmed platform is carried out during the first semester
of 2014 until the second semester of 2019, a total of 50
papers were selected, which were analyzed on an Excel
®
sheet, based on the reading and analysis Performed by the
authors, the following categories related to virtual reality and
ADHD emerged: evaluation, intervention and neurofeedback.
The advantages and disadvantages of virtual reality in this
population are shown, and the need to carry out more
studies with larger population groups, expand the age of the
population used, and standardize the evaluation protocols
that intervene that allow to gather verifiable scientific
evidence is discussed. In favor of the use of virtual reality in
this population.
