ABSTRACT
We present the third published case of a papillary poroid hydradenoma,
a benign appendageal neoplasm that may have an
eccrine or apocrine origin, with a different architectural variant
to the conventional poroid hydradenoma. It was identified
in a female patient of 63-years-old, consisting of a lesion of
2 × 1.7 cm. In hematoxylin and eosin, we observe a well-defined
lesion by a fibrous pseudocapsule with proliferation of papillae,
coated by cells of poroid appearance, characteristic to the two
previous cases described in the literature by Piana and Dravid.
