ABSTRACT
The covid-19 pandemic has brought important changes to the
medical profession. Not only those first-line medical specialties
for covid-19 patients, but also dermatologists who are challenged
treating new dermatological diseases. Dermatology has
a fundamental role during this pandemic, since, it is the ideal
medical specialty to treat all those individuals who have dermatological
manifestations associated with general care, such
as frequent hand washing and the use of personal protection
equipment. An observational study on the staff of our hospital
is reported, in order to help treat and/or prevent skin affections
caused by the necessary protection that must be taken
when facing the covid-19 pandemic.
