Characterization of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mayabeque

ABSTRACT
Introduction:
If the global reaction to COVID-19 was initially insufficient and late, now, the struggle against the pandemic is being accelerating, leaving very clear the emergency of a global response.
Objective:
To characterize the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mayabeque.
Methods:
An exploratory cross-sectional research was performed with the 30 confirmed patients, from April 1st to 22nd, 2020.
Results:
18 cases from 25 to 59 years old were confirmed for a 60.1 % and 16 of the male sex that represent the 53.3 %. The 56.6 % corresponded to San José de las Lajas municipality and the 100 % of the patients developed in a stable way.
Conclusions:
The disease prevailed in young adults, female, asymptomatic with a satisfactory evolution.
