ABSTRACT
COVID-19 pandemic is one of the great challenges that medicine has had to face.
Scientific information is growing rapidly and two aspects that have caused controversy
are the way in which it is transmitted, especially the role of aerosols, and the possible
role that the universal use of face mask to stop transmission can play, topics that are
addressed in this review.
