ABSTRACT
In the last few decades, mortality by ischemic cardiopathy has been raising and so, it demands a cause analysis and strategies to convert and revert such tendence. Over-weight, obesity, and diabetes mellitus point to the metabolic syndrome as a pathogenic condition in-between for such situation.
