ABSTRACT
The rationale evaluation of prosthetic valve disfunction begins when understanding that each model of prosthesis -produced in series- will work differently in each patient. It is certain that there are intrinsic factors in the manufacture of the prosthesis or its technical hemodynamic conditions, but the basic aspects of performance are unique in each certain patient. The morphologic and structural changes from each heart, as consequence of the valvular injuries displays individual variations that the surgeon has to solve, even thought they seems to have established patterns.
