ABSTRACT
Diagnosis in a patient of Scimitar Syndrome, background and he clinical presentation form are presented. Although infrequent variants exist, the usual form of presentation allows direct tunneling of the drainage from the inferior vena cava to the left atrium, from the right atrium, without disconnectionof the pulmonary veins abnormally connected to the inferior vena cava. Due to the morphological variant found, an unusual surgical technique is described. Through the interatrial septum and left atrium, the venous collector that drained through the diaphragm was tunneled. Morphological diagnosis facilitates surgical strategy.
