ABSTRACT
The direct influence of the educational environment
on the performance of students of medical specialties
affects their performance and the quality of care
they provide, so tools have been developed to
assess it, which is relevant in quality management
systems and in accreditation processes. As an input
to establish a strategic university plan with options
for improvement in the postgraduate programme in
forensic medical specialties at the University of Costa
Rica, this observational, descriptive and quantitative
study, of cross-sectional, was developed using the
Postgraduate Hospital Educational Environment
Measure Questionnaire . The perception of the
educational environment was excellent in global
terms, with a positive perception of autonomy, quality
of education and a good and supportive environment,
although aspects of the three domains require
correction and monitoring as they are applicable and
interpretable within a given time space.
