ABSTRACT
The objective of the present work is to propose the actions of recovery of the vegetal cover in the coastal zone and the forest strip of the low course of the Santa Ana river, that allow the reduction of the risks and the economic or human damages, taking into account the objectives proposed by the Life Task. An exploratory study was carried out to update the diagnosis of the coastal section between Baracoa and Santa Fe in the province of Havana in which the field work, the floristic inventory, the consultation of specialists of the State Forest Service and the neighbors of the community. The system of actions for the implementation of tasks 3, 5 and 10 of the Life Task was designed. A system of actions was designed to mitigate the effects of climate change on the coastal stretch between Baracoa and Santa Fe in the province of Havana that included the adaptation of the work plan of the Multidisciplinary Chair “Environment and Health” of the Latin American School of Medicine and the formation of a system of conferences and reforestation works in the coastal zone. The diagnosis of the coastal section between Baracoa and Santa Fe in the province of Havana allowed us to identify the existence of problems related to the afforestation of this geographical area, which will be minimized after the implementation of the planned actions.REFERENCES
