ABSTRACT
Each student at the beginning of an academic cycle arrives with a set of knowledge and knowledge, which are based on lived experiences, according to the socio-cultural and family environment in which they live, and conditioned by their personal characteristics. These experiences constitute the basic value of any learning, so the diversity of the learning processes must be taken into account, and therefore, that the teaching processes, and especially the evaluative ones, take it as the backbone of their educational practices. In this framework, the evaluation can no longer be static, but it becomes a process and the initial evaluation constitutes its first phase. This type of evaluation has a diagnostic or exploratory function and serves precisely to assess the characteristics that students bring to the teaching process, that is, prior knowledge that directly relates to learning, skills and competencies, interests, motivations and willingness to the study of the contents in question. The methodology used in the research process constituted an integration of theoretical, empirical and mathematical statistical methods. In this sense, an instrument was designed for the initial evaluation of the subject Learn to Learn in order to diagnose study habits, study strategies, learning styles and stylistic preferences. These instruments allowed to identify in which areas one should work with more intensity during the subject.REFERENCES
