ABSTRACT
Natural and Traditional Medicine is integrated into the curricula of the medical career in response to social demands, in 2016 it is included in the macro and microcurriculum of the study plan of said career. This constitutes a challenge for the Latin American School of Medicine. The elevation of quality in the teaching of Natural and Traditional Medicine in undergraduate is a priority and pedagogical challenge for the Cuban medical university. This work is based on the Theory of Advanced Education, which has among its fundamental categories the improvement of pedagogical performance. To expose the application of Natural and Traditional Medicine in the curriculum of the medical degree according to the literature review. A bibliographic review was carried out to gather information about the application of Natural and Traditional Medicine in the study plan and normative documents of the Medicine career and the characterization of the pedagogical performance of teachers in Natural and Traditional Medicine. One of the main deficiencies in the training process is that there is no prepared cloister to link the topics of Natural and Traditional Medicine in the content of its subject and thus comply with the curricular strategy. The literature review carried out evidences that there are deficiencies in the teaching performance to integrate the subjects of Natural and Traditional Medicine in the content of the subjects of the study plan of the medical career.REFERENCES
